Planned Parenthood revealed earlier this week that it will be extending the availability of its Athena Health Mobile app to other states. Currently available in 27 states, Planned Parenthood hopes to make the app available in all 50 states by 2020.
The app requires users to register, respond to health-related questions, and choose a service. They can then schedule a visit at a Planned Parenthood facility or get a prescription sent directly to their house. The user must give the clinician authorization to ship the medication before the prescriptions are available at specific pharmacies in specific states.
